Final Day Out Filming

Walking Shots

The shots in the footage above were some of the last shots we took within the course of filming. We decided as a group that these shots would only be placed at the start of our video, representing our narrative of Ellie being sad at the start of our song and then becoming happy as the music video progresses. To represent our actors sadness we filmed in a location that was very dull. To further exaggerate her emotions we dressed her in dark, depressing clothing. Although the video above displays shots of Ellie's face, once editing the shots we decided we would only use shots where Ellie's face wasn't visible. This was add a sense of enigma for the audience watching and make our opening more intriguing as people would want to know how the girl is walking and where she is going etc....

We used a range of shots when shooting this footage in order to fit in with the fats pace of our opening. One of our favourite shots was the clothes up of Ellie's converse walking over the camera. Feedback revealed that this shot was very creative and looked professional. This specific shot also fitted in well with the extreme close ups we have running throughout our video of my lips.

Getting Ready Shots

Again these shots were some of the last footage we filmed. This footage consists of narrative actress Ellie getting ready in her bedroom for a day out with her friends. We used these shots at various points I  our video, they acted as flash backs to the morning of the day out that is being displayed in our music video. In these shots we found it wasn't too important what Ellie herself was wearing but the props she was holding. For example the red jacket stands out and allows the viewers focus to be on Ellie's actions. We also included a close up where Ellie is seen applying lip stick. This was a fun shot to place into our video as it related with our concept and artist, without showing our artist.
